PANASONIC’S PORTABLE POWER BRINGS ‘NEW LIFE’ TO SMARTPHONES, TABLET PC AND OTHER MOBILE DEVICES.
[28 January 2013, Belgium] Panasonic Energy Europe introduces Portable Power. This is an external portable battery that provides power supply for various electronic devices (smartphones, mobile phones, tablets, music player devices and portable gaming devices). This allows users to have mobile power, wherever they are. The Portable Power can be recharged so it can be used repeatedly approx. 500 times under certain conditions. On top of that it is easy to use & compact so you can take it everywhere.
In recent years, the use of smartphones like iPhones*1 and Android*2 phones has been spreading rapidly*3. The energy consumption of these smartphones is much higher than the energy consumption of regular mobile phones, which is why consumers pay more attention to the battery duration. Consumer research*4 states that 60% of smartphone users worry about their battery duration.
Enjoy mobile life without interruptions
Panasonic’s Portable Power is the ideal solution to extend the battery life of smartphones and other portable devices. Never have an empty battery again when you are on the go, travelling or visiting festivals because Panasonic Portable Power allows users to charge devices when there is no other source of energy available.
Product Specifications
Powered by portable reserved batteries via USB power point, with built-in USB terminals and an associated micro USB attachment, the Panasonic portable power is compatible with most electronic devices. From smartphones (like iPhone*1*9, Blackberry*5*9, and Galaxy*6*9) to tablet PC’s (like iPad*1*9), Digital camera’s (like Lumix*7*9), portable game consoles (like PSP*8*9) and MP3 players (like iPod*1*9).
Panasonic’s line-up covers a wide range of needs
Consumer research*4 shows that Portable Power can satisfy 80% of consumer needs, when it can charge smartphones 50% - 2 times. In order to meet these needs, Panasonic releases a line-up including 3 items:
- QL-201 for the heavy user, can charge a 1400mAh battery capacity Smartphone 2 times
- QL-101 for the frequent user, can charge a 1400mAh battery capacity Smartphone 1 time
- QL-102 for the occasional user, can charge a 1400mAh battery capacity Smartphone for 60%
Extra benefits
Panasonic’s Portable Power includes several extra benefits in order to facilitate the use. First of all, the QL-102 for the occasional user has a retractable USB cable, what makes it easy to carry around. The QL-201 for the heavy duty user has two USB outputs, which means the user can charge two USB devices at once. On top of that this device is able to charge tablets.
All items are equipped with a 3 colored LED, which shows the residual battery in three stages:
- Green: residual battery about 60-100%
- Orange: residual battery about 30-60%
- Red: residual battery less than 30%
