On Saturday March 23rd, 2013 Panasonic Energy Europe joins the well known and important global warming initiative “Earth Hour”. Around 1 billion people worldwide participate and symbolically turn off their lights during 1 hour. It is a strong signal that even individuals can make a difference in the battle against climate change. We at Panasonic Energy Europe switch off our neon lighting and additionally we ask our employees to: - Turn off their computer monitors before leaving your office on Friday night - Turn off the lights in their private homes between 8.30 and 9.30 pm - Put the heating at home lower with 1° - Eat lunch / dinner with a “low impact” like a vegetarian meal - do carpooling or use public transport So if you feel like join the battle against climate change, join these challenges!
