RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
With rechargeable batteries the chemical process whereas electrons move during discharge from the negative to the positive pole can be reversed, allowing them to be used over and over again . When they are depleted, you need power and a charger to recharge them.

Charged batteries immediately start losing their capacity due to electrons floating back to their original place. After about 2-3 months -depending on temperature- the batteries will be depleted again. This effect is called self-discharge. It is therefore not really recommended to use the batteries for appliances with low energy requirements, such as a remote control or a clock, or for appliances that are not used very often such as smoke detectors or pocket torches. In those cases, the energy lost through self-discharge is greater than the energy actually consumed. An exception to this phenomenon are our Infinium batteries which keep up to 85% of the charged capacity until 1 year after being charged.
