My new hearing aid battery doesn’t last as long as a previous one. Why?

Operating times may vary depending on the conditions in which you use your device. For example, a battery won’t last as long in colder conditions. Other causes may be:

• The battery was inserted too soon after you’ve removed the seal. Ensure at least 30 to 60 seconds before inserting.
• The battery couldn’t breathe after taking off the seal, because it was placed with the air holes downward.
• The battery couldn’t breathe after taking off the seal, because it was placed near an appliances which generates a lot of carbon dioxide, such as a kerosene stove.
