Frequently Asked Questions

Following Q&A will teach you everything you wanted to know about batteries and how to optimize the usage.
Empty batteries should always be recycled. You can bring your batteries to a recycling point near you, free of charge.
Typically for an alkaline battery is a gradually decreasing voltage when it discharges, which means that for some appliances, which need a high base voltage to operate, the appliance stops working even while the battery has still a bit of energy left.
Battery performance greatly depends on the device and on the conditions.
The ideal temperature for our primary batteries is between 5°C up to 45°C.
Batteries are best stored at room temperature. Extreme heat or cold can significantly reduce battery life.
Always insert batteries with the poles in the correct direction. Not doing so will lead to a short circuit.
In appliances without a charging function, yes. In appliances that do have a charging function, be sure to check whether the function was specifically designed for Ni-MH. If not, it’s best not to use Ni-MH batteries.
Panasonic does not produce or sell 12V batteries like A27, 27A, G27A, MN27 or bi09 of other manufacturers.
Zinc carbon batteries are more commonly used in low-drain devices, whereas the Panasonic alkaline range spans the entire appliance spectrum: from low- to high-drain.
Assuming your device isn’t faulty, causes may lie in either improper contact with the terminal or in the batteries themselves.
