August is coming to its end. That means it’s almost time to get back behind the books. As excitement for the new school year gradually starts building up, so does the stress for the upcoming list of back to school supplies. Of course, you can never be 100% ready for school or college. But getting a few supplies ready from beforehand will get you up and running in no time, ready to kick off yet another amazing school year and ready for the first bell.
There goes the bell
Speaking of rings and bells: one of the first back to school supplies you might need is a proper alarm clock. Especially if you’re a night owl, you may know it as one of those dreaded devices that pulls you out of your sleep and tells you it’s time to get up. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Invest in an alarm clock that uses light and mild sounds to gradually wake you up. That way, you awaken more naturally and have a less hasty and chaotic morning. That’ll come in handy during the dark mornings in the winter months.
During those dark months, safety is essential. If you take your bike to go to school or college, you’re in need of a good pair of bike lights to keep you safe on the road. Usually, removable lights with batteries are a better choice because they don't affect your speed, they also work in wet conditions and they produce a more powerful light beam that makes sure you’re noticed by anyone else in traffic.
Tip: You can use the Everyday Power AA or AAA batteries or the Pro Power AA or AAA batteries for your alarm clock. For your bike lights, be sure to check the specific reference on the battery itself to make sure you buy the right one.
Back to school supplies for class
In order to prepare for class even better, you might want to get some of the basics before school starts. Some of the basic back to school supplies include a couple of files, pen and paper, a calculator and backpack that’ll survive daily pickups, drops and throws during the day.
When you get back from class, the real studying begins. Homework, test preparation or even studying for exams require a lot of focus. A decent clock can help you track time as you’re working. That way, you won’t forget to take enough breaks to blow off some steam for a minute or two. You also may need a good set of noise cancelling headphones to make sure you don’t get distracted during those long study sessions.
Tip: For your calculator, check the packaging to make sure you buy the right batteries. Read more about our Silver Oxide, Lithium Coin and Micro Alkaline batteries. For your clock, you can use our Everyday Power AA or AAA batteries.
Remember to relax
Life’s not all about studying and going to school, of course. And not every part of your back to school supplies should be strictly school-related. Don’t forget to take some time off. Gaming is a very popular option to relax and just have fun by yourself or with friends. Get yourself a couple of controllers, put in some fresh batteries and hand them over to your friends and family.
