Reliable technology for continuous power

The production of Silver Oxide batteries was launched by Panasonic in Japan back in 1976. Like all our batteries in this range, SR1130 uses silver oxide as the positive electrode (cathode), zinc as the negative electrode (anode) plus an alkaline electrolyte. Compared to other batteries, a silver oxide battery has a higher open circuit potential (1,55V), and compared to a standard alkaline battery, it has a flatter discharge curve.

Panasonic SILVER OXIDE SR1130 is suitable for appliances where a high-energy density and a stable operating voltage are required, like digital watches, bike computers, heart rate monitors for athletes, etc. Other applications include laser pens, calculators and digital clocks.

Superior silver

Until the end of its life cycle, Panasonic SR1130 is distinguished by a large capacity and a continuous high power supply. The use of silver results in a higher price compared with other button cells or coin type batteries, but the long life – which is twice the capacity of an alkaline button cell – and the stability of SR1130 make it however a great choice.
