Panasonic SILVER OXIDE SR626 is suitable for precision electronic devices such as digital watches, bike computers, heart rate monitors for athletes, etc. – typical applications where a high-energy density and a stable operating voltage are required. Trusted technology for continuous power
Panasonic launched the production of Silver Oxide batteries in Japan back in 1976. Like all our batteries in this range, SR626 uses silver oxide as the positive electrode (cathode), zinc as the negative electrode (anode) plus an alkaline electrolyte. Compared to other batteries, a silver oxide battery has a higher open circuit potential (1,55V). It also has a flatter discharge curve than a standard alkaline battery.
No mercury added
Our environmental awareness led us again and again to innovating ideas reducing the use of materials that can harm the environment. As a result of these efforts, the SR626 Silver Oxide battery today has 0% mercury added.
Panasonic SR626 is distinguished by a large capacity and a continuous high power supply till the end of its life cycle. Although the use of silver results in a higher price compared with other button cells or coin type batteries, the long life (twice the capacity of an alkaline button cell) and stability of SR626 make it nevertheless an excellent choice.
